A: Prizes for best costumes. To better plan your costume, the following categories will be a part of the contest: Best theme costume, Scariest, Funniest, Team, Kids and Dogs.
A: Nope! Costumes are encouraged and we have a great costume contest (See above).
A: Nope! Plenty of people show without costumes. They are not required and you won't be alone.
A: Long sleeve race shirt
A: Halloween treats like candy, candy corn, hot apple cider and pumpkin treats
A: A custom running race bib
A: A race fridge magnet
A: A surprise finisher's swag item (in year's past it has been a beanie, running light, stadium bags..)
A: If you opt for the Trees not Tees we will plant a tree in your honor.
A: Packets can be picked up at Seward Park on race morning or at pre-race packet pickup at West Seattle Runner on October 25 1:00pm-5:00pm.
A: Nope! We will be out there until the grim sweeper comes through with the last participant, regardless of time.
A: Unfortunately due to liability issues we can't allow cyclists to be a part of the run.
A: Yes! We ask that you line up in the back of the starter area and keep your well behaved pooch on a short leash. There is even a dog category in the costume contest.
A: Yes!!! We just ask that you be mindful of other participants, especially at the race start and keep to the right so others can easily pass.
A: Yes! We will have 1 aid station for the 5K and 2 milers and 2 aid stations for the 10K. We will be serving water and candy corn, you know, to keep your sugars at the appropriate levels!
A: There is a very small lot on the north side of the park, a slightly larger lot on the south side of the park but the best parking is up the hill, and to the right or in the surrounding neighborhoods (please be respectful of driveways and early morning noise).
A: Yes! We have prizes for the three top male, female and non-binary runners in the 10K and 5K. Recognition and a small item will be given to 1st place age category winners in each age division in Male, Female and Non-binary. Awards will be presented at 11:00am on race day. Awards will not be shipped.
A: Kids dash is about a quarter of a mile, out and back dash that will take place before the other races begin. It will start and finish at the regular finish line. Kids 12 and under can participate and it is free. We have some fun finisher's items for them. Parents or guardians can, but don't have to, run with their little goblins, ghouls and witches. Registration is free but we do ask that you register to know how many we can expect.
A: We are here to entertain!
A: There will be a free treasure hunt, where they can find ghoulish items in the park and turn them in for prizes. Starts at 8:15am.
A: Kids tent filled with coloring, games and activities
A: Free face painting (adults welcome too!)
A: Free kids dash. Starts at 8:45am.
A: Costume contest with a kids division. Starts at 9:00am.
A: Tons of candy to keep their sugar levels high
A: Free photo booth with fun backdrop and props to spark creativity
A; Run or walk any of the distances with you!
A: Yes! There is an option to donate at the time of registration.
